[IT Analytics] [OVA] Trying to update from version 11.2 to 11.3
Need some help please. As the title says, i am trying to update my OVA implemented IT Analytics 11.2 to version 11.3. It was installed via OVA Template. Downloaded the upgrade .iso file, created the diska folder, mounted iso on diska and ran the portal_upgrade.sh from / The upgrade utility installer runs, show the Terms of use and generates the 'accept' request prompt. I type 'accept' then enter... Nothing happens, utility installer closes then im back to command line. Tried to run the upgrade utility on /opt/aptare/upgrade/upgrade_installer with no success as well. 'cp: cannot stat' error I am following the Linux upgrade guide. Any ideas why it is not working please? Running everything as 'root'. Screenshots attached.Solved810Views0likes2CommentsDiscovery Accelerator 10.4 client failing after upgrade
First had the issue with installing, but go around that following the command line install method here. https://www-secure.symantec.com/connect/forums/accelerator-install-requires-uac-be-turned Once that is done, the client installs without issue. However, once the client is started - it sees the instance it needs to talk to, but upon attempting to connect it fails and closes out the client. This error is seen in the application log. We are currently running EV and DA in the following configuration: Single EV site 2 EV MailArchive Servers (Windows 2003 Std SP2 32-bit, EV 9.0.5) 1 EV MailJournal Server (Windows 2003Std SP2 32-bit, EV 9.0.5) 1 DA Server(Windows 2003 Std SP2 32-bit, EV 9.0.5) We need to upgrade to EV 10 to support Exchange 2013. What has thrown a wrench in the clockworks is that there is no migration path from DA 9.0.5 to DA 10. Only from DA 9.0.5 to DA 11. I know that DA11 would be compatible with EV10, but from what I've read, DA11 requires the EV10 binaries installed. So the question is, will the DA11 server with EV10 binaries work in the environment until we upgrade the EV9 servers to EV10? Has anyone done the upgrade from DA 9.0.5 to DA 11?Solved901Views1like4CommentsUpgrade from DA90SP4 to DA10SP4CHF1 breaks SQL replication

Working with a client now on upgrading their DataInsight production servers. The Manager, Collector/indexer upgrades including about 20 agents were all successfull. Moving to upgrade the Sharepoint farm per documenation we uninstalled 4.0 and ran the installer for 4.01 and it failed. We used the same procedures (with exception to uninstalling DI 4.0) and Admin account to install DI 4.0 just a month ago and did so successfully. Below is the error log followed by our installation procedures. Any assistance would be appreciated. I will only include where the errors in the log begin as its a large log (The complete log is attached). Here is our Sharepoint 2010 installation procedure: 1. Logon to the SharePoint farm machine where the SharePoint agent has been previously installed. 2. Uninstall the old agent using the "Add/Remove Programs" applet in the Control Panel. 3. Unzip the patch files to a temporary folder. In this folder, locate the SharePoint agent installer. The installer is called either: Symantec_DataInsight_sharepoint2010_40RP1_4_0_0_4007.exe 4. Launch the installer to install the new agent. Verify the installation: In the Central Administration console, click the Sytsem Settings. Under the Farm Management page, select Manage Farm Solutions. Verify that the status for Data Insight solution for SharePoint, sdispwebsvc.wsp, is set to Deployed. Click the link for the solution. Verify that the solution is deployed to all the front-end Web servers in the farm by checking the value of “DeployedTo” field.Solved1.3KViews1like1CommentEV Discovery Accelerator - EV Versions
After reviewing the requirements for EV base software (Services or API) to be installed prior to EVDA I am not 100% as to the versions allowed. I have an EV server running 10.0.1, which will be upgraded to 10.0.4 over the coming months. I will be installing EVDA shortly (before the EV 10.0.4 upgrade) and therefore want to install 10.0.4 on the DA server to save work in the future. I know that EVDA can be at a later version than EV itself, but does this include the services/API installed on the EVDA server ? In summary, I would like to do the following: EV Server has 10.0.1 installed and running (mailbox/journal/FSA archiving) New EVDA server - install EV 10.0.4 services or API runtime , install EVDA 10.0.4 Is this OK, or do I need to install the 10.0.1 services or API runtime on the new EVDA server Thanks, AJ.Solved656Views0likes2Comments
