bpplschedwin
When I set a calendar based schedule in gui then check my debug log I see that the bpplschedwin command does the work, I am trying to understand the parameters it uses and how it works. This is on a Netbackup 6.5.3.1 version running on a Solaris 10 box. 9:20:28.210 [21437] <2> bpplschedwin: VERBOSE = 8 09:20:28.210 [21437] <2> bpplschedwin: INITIATING: version NetBackup 6.5 created : 2008103100 09:20:28.210 [21437] <2> logparams: reggie reggie_weekly -0 0 0 -1 0 0 -2 0 0 -3 0 0 -4 0 0 -5 64800 43200 -6 0 0 -M xxxx.xxxx I uderstand that 64800 converts to a day and 43200 is the start time in seconds. The other parameters I don't understand.Solved1.6KViews0likes7CommentsANY MATERIALS FOR A FRESHER TO CRACK THE CERTIFICATION EXAM

Hallo Netbackup UserGroup.
I recently had fully encrypted hard disk (Toshiba mq01abd075), operating system (Windows 7 Professional), two partition. C (146 GB) and D (548 GB) and 4 GB Unallocated space. I ran the system restore for partition C, after which I was unable to access the operating system. I reinstalled the operating system partition C. I installed PGP WDE, when I entered in the program, partition D does not appear to be decrypted. Partition D appears in My Computer (0 bytes), in computer management at disk management appear 548 GB RAW. If I double click on it ask me for Format, but i've never click Yes, so the second partition was never touch after the problem. After this I reinstalled twice the OS. Now I have windows 8.1 but stil, but still I have not touch the second partition. I've tried to decrypt the drive with a few tutorials such as(WinPE and put the hard disk as second partition): http://www.symantec.com/docs/TECH170574 http://www.symantec.com/business/support/index?page=content&id=TECH149478 Give me various errors suchs as: "Could not locate valid BGFS record. Recovey failed! Operation recover disk failed: Error code -11984 item not found" or "Disk 1 is not instrumented by bootguard" and others. I know was my fault. Please give me a solution. Hello, yesterday was a new implementation of DLO 7.5 and after the first backup it is full, the client asked me if DLO supports if the computer was connected by Wi-Fi, I thought that protocols and networks should be as in a wired network but not if it will be true. Unfortunately did not get a chance to get some comprobrarlo. Could give me feedback about their experiences. Thank you.708Views0likes2CommentsApplication HA clustering has dropped a disk... :-/
Hi, After I completed the Application HA clustering of SQL2008 across two Windows 2008 R2 nodes, I found that the SQL installation's virtual Backup disk (M: for reference) remained on the first node after I'd initiated a switch to the second node via the High Availability tab in the vSphere Client. The other disks re-attached to the second node ok. On closer inspection in Cluster Explorer on one of the nodes I discovered that the Mount Point for that disk was completely missing! I attempted to manually create the Mount Point and brought the resource online in the cluster on the first node, but attempting the switch operation again failed as the virtual disk failed to re-attach to the second node. How to fix without blatting the clustering / SQL installations? Thanks!Solved3KViews0likes10CommentsCW Redaction set question
Is there a way to copy a redaction set (even if on the back end by a Symantec engineer). we need to do one of two opeions:Produce a set of redacted files with transparency to read the redacted text and highlighted in yellow; OR copy a redaction set that has been created by the client so we preserve the exact set and then share the one of the redaction sets with a 3rd party for approval on the redacted items. thanks for any information on the above!Solved639Views2likes1CommentMass recall from IBM DR550
Hi experts, I have an evironment with EV 9.0.2 that will updated soon to 10.0.4. At first or maybe after the updated we will change the DR550 HSM hardware to a EMC Centera. For this we have to export or move the data to the new machine. My idear is to restore the data (0,5 TB) back into the first EV store and migrate that data into the new device then. Is it possible to recall all CAB files with EV tools back into the first EV store? And if not, is it possible to use the Tivoli Storage Manager Client to restore all the data out of the DR550 into the original EV partition without data lacks? Best regards Gerd965Views1like6Comments
