deduplication storage issue
Hi all, I am having the following problem. My deduplication storage needs to be expanded. It is 7.12TB in total and right now is under ythe low disk space threshold. But there are overwritable media in the dedupe folder (i can see from Devices-Deduplication storage). But i still receive the message that the OpenStorage device is out of free space. Please help this is urgent. I created a support ticket, but I have not received any feedback. What are my options here?
Backup Exec 2012 health check guide
Hi, i'm a newbie to this backup exec 2012, and recently we have active contract on supporting this Backup Exec 2012. By supporting this, we need to perform health check or software preventive maintenance on the servers equipped with backup exec 2012 on quarterly basis. Just want to know that whether there are some guidelines or procedures/steps on what we need to include in the health check such as services, connections, patches? Please share with me if anyone know how to prepare a backup exec 2012 health check checklist in order to perform the preventive maintenance for the servers. I'm still using BE for Windows Servers11d build 7170. I know it's old but it is still reliable. Our Sony SDX-570v tape drive bit the dust. I'm trying to find a tape drive that is compatible with the BE11d and the backup tapes we currently have our backup info on. Oh, yes. Our server bit the dust at the same time. I need to be able to restore the data from the tapes onto our new server. Not having much luck so far as the Sony SDX-570v drive is not readily available as a replacement. I would even accept having someone attempt to recover our data onto an external drive it that would be possible.uninstall and install backup exec
Good morning, I need help. I uninstalled the software Backup_Exec_2010_13.0_SP1 to replace English with French version Backup_Exec_2010_R2 Windows Server 2008 R2. Despite cleaning the Symantec keys in the registry and deleting files on Symantec backup directories, it follows by following the installation of Backup Exec System 2010 R2 installation failure with different mail with attachment files. I think you need to reinstall the system (OS) to make a new installation of Backup Exec 2010 R2. Given the urgency on Safeguards I thank you specify the actions to be undertaken on this server and also advise me the possible configurations after reinstalling the system if necessary and if possible. Because the server communicates with a backup robot.
Can't get Backup-To-Disk Offline Media back to Online Media
I have a NAS drive on my backup-to-disk folder and 2/3 of media labels are in Offline Media and 1/3 is in Online Media. I don't know how they got into Offline Media but I need to get them back into Online Media the media in the Online Media show a Media Location of 'Backup-to-disk Folder 1' the media in the Offline Media show nothing in media location. I'm on Backup Exec 12 Any ideas how to make this space useable again?
BackupExec 2010 File Server Archiving Option
Hi, Everyone. I have a customer trying to reduce the size of file server front line storage, they want to have link or placeholder of these files in the file server once they were archive, because the have a netapp filer FAS2020 with SATA disks they want to send the archived files directly to tape. Se hace el backup pero no finaliza
Estimados tengo un problema con un backup, lo ejecuta pero nucna termina se queda por horas y horas y tengo que darle finalizar para que termine y sale el sgte. error Error category : Job ErrorsError : e0008821 - Job was recovered as a result of Backup Exec RPC service starting.
