Virtual NUMA cannot be configured when CPU hotadd is enabled. We are able to reproduce this issue with other servers and able to backup/restore as long as hot swap CPU is not enabled. Issue is we are unable to restore VM Server due to hot swap enabled CPU on VM in VSPHERE https://www.veritas.com/support/en_US/article.100058556 it says their is a hotfix says only applies toProduct(s): NetBackup & Alta Data Protection. We already have a case with Veritas for a week now and they are not able to produce a hotfix or any fix. They were able to provide a workaround of restoring VM files on our backup server and importing them into vSphere, but that is not a solution.638Views0likes1CommentRestoring single VMDK
We've restored a single VMDK with it's VMX file to the backup media server, uploaded that to the ESX VM host, added it to a powered down server and attempt to power on the server, but get message: "Unsupported or invalid disk type 2 for 'scsi0:2'. Ensure that the disk has been imported." ... "Unable to create virtual SCSI device for 'scsi0:2' " Is there anything special I need to do when requesting the restore to have a usable VMDK file or a step after the restore from tape step? Was running BE16 at the time of restore for this example. Upgrading to 20.3 right now. But I doubt the process changed. Using vSphere web clientVersion 6.5.0.20000 Build 9451637 My goal is to get a file out of a VMDK based backup by attaching restored VMDK to a non-critical server. This has never worked for me, so I'm obviously doing something wrong.1.9KViews0likes4Comments0xe0009582-Cannot get the disk changed information
Hello, I'm running BUE 16 and attempting to back up a Server 2016 VM (vSphere 6.0 U3) and it always fails with0xe0009582-Cannot get the disk changed information. I have two other 2016 VMs that are backing up fine. The only difference with this one is that it has an independent disk attached, which, if memory servers are automatically excluded during backup. I've uninstalled/reinstalled the agent, insured the VSS provider is not installed in VMware tools, and tried several jobs with instant GRT, VM GRT, and Advanced Open File option enabled and disabled. Nothing has worked so far. Any ideas?2.8KViews0likes1Comment
