Modern Data Protection at Veritas Vision 2017
What is your modern data protection strategy? Is it well defined or perhaps just at the beginning stages? With important multi-cloud considerations to evaluate, this will be a critical topic to explore further at Veritas Vision 2017.16KViews0likes0CommentsSoftware-Defined Storage at Veritas Vision 2017
Software-defined storage…what does it mean for your organization? This is going to be another key topic we will explore further at Veritas Vision 2017. New regulatory compliance requirements and escalating storage costs are combining to make long-term data retention a hot topic in the data management space. This session will take a close look at how products like Veritas Access and NetBackup can help you implement a modernized long-term retention strategy that leverages cloud and commodity storage, scales easily with growth, and keeps your retention costs under control. One week to go till the next OpenStack Summit. I am looking forward to meeting with customers, partners and colleagues and, of course, learn about many things OpenStack from all of them. Attending the keynotes and breakout sessions and visiting the sponsor booths in the marketplace will certainly provide a lot of learning opportunities. Yet another, fun source of learning will be the vBrownBag TechTalks (#vBrownBag), a rapid-fire format where presenters take just 15 minutes to convey their message.2.1KViews0likes0CommentsFujitsu selects Veritas Access as their next-gen storage infrastructure to support K5

What a great event we had last week in Spain. There were keynotes, sessions, meetings with customers, partners and analysts and of course, not nearly enough hours in the day to enjoy it all. Even Mother Nature appeared to be smiling upon us with pretty mild weather most days. I enjoyed soaking in the community vibe and meeting colleagues from around the globe. We had a significant team attending (you can see some of them here at our booth in the Marketplace) who presented various technical talks and helped showcase Veritas Access and HyperScale for OpenStack. In my discussions with customers, our ability to provide storage quality of service (QoS) to support application performance needs certainly resonated strongly, as did the ability to provide data protection, or backup. You can check out our participation through this Storify post. I look forward to more and even better summits.1.7KViews0likes0CommentsNFS TCP mounts fail with"portmap query retrying: RPC: Timed out"
