Veritas System Recovery 23 - How to make backup of config
Like in subject,I'm wondering how to back up the program's configuration, along with the backup tasks and all the rest of the settings. How can I approach this? I tried to look for a solution on the Internet, including VOX Veritas, but I did not find an answer to my problem. By the way, I'd also like to ask about the other thing, I can't figure out how to set up hidden volumes backup. The copy is made correctly to an external network resource, but Veritas does not delete the oldest one and, despite setting the storage to 3 copies back, still creates new ones. I checked the configuration, created a copy job again, but I couldn't find a solution. Thanks a lot for your answers and have a nice day :)817Views0likes2CommentsVSR Scripting - How to get Image Job Network User
Hi, I have successfully used the example powershell scripts that come with VSR 18 to script creating backup jobs, that back up to a network drive. I am now trying to write a script to get each ImageJobs NetworkUser and then change the NetworkPassword. I have spent a day trying to find how to get an ImageJobs NetworkUser but have failed. Please will someone help me out. See below for the script I am trying to get to work. Many Thanks, Josonic # I have got the system volume as $oVolume, and therefore its ID ForEach($ImageJob in $v2iAuto.ImageJobs) { Write-Host $ImageJob.Displayname # shows displayname correctly Write-Host $ImageJob.Location # shows 'IImageLocation Location (string) {get} {set}' Write-Host $ImageJob.Location($oVolume.ID) # shows 'The parameter is incorrect. (Exception from HRESULT: 0x80070057 (E_INVALIDARG))' Write-Host $ImageJob.Location($oVolume.ID).Path # shows 'The parameter is incorrect. (Exception from HRESULT: 0x80070057 (E_INVALIDARG))' }Solved1.4KViews0likes1CommentVeritas System Recovery 2018 partnumber
I've been using Norton Ghost and Symantec System Recovery for many years as a home user. I want to buy Vertitas System Recovery 2018 with the recovery disks, but there are so many versions that I don't see the forrest between the trees (translation to ERnglish of a Dutch proverb). I want Veritas Systel Recovery for Desktop use with Windows 10 Pro x64 and with the recovery discs included. And for 1 pc, if the price is ok, 2 pc's. Also I want to have all the updates free for all Veritas Symantec Recovery 2018 updates. Can anybody tell me the Veritas partnumber for this or what version I should buy? Not an upgrade but a fresh new version. I can't even mail Veritas sales or support to ask a question. Lots of info on their webpage, but relevant information is not on it. Would it not be easier that you can see online what versions there are of VSR and what they have included and for what usage it is recommended. Why makes thing so difficult? It's easier to find the warez version then to buy an official license. Kind regards Dimitri1.1KViews0likes1CommentHow to Recover Corrupted Linux using Veritas System Recovery 18
Good Day. I have to test how to recover a corrupted linux system using VSR18 for linux. Below are the specs of the unit. OS: Rhel 7.3 Disk: 2x500 GB (Raid 1) I already peformed a backup of all volumes before corrupting the system. After corrupting the file system, the 2 disks (sda and sdb) became unknown, LVM disk (for OS) was gone.LVM disk(for swap) was also gone. With this i would like to know if what steps i will take to recover the system. Question 1. Do i have to partition first the unknowndisks (sda and sdb)? Boot was located at the the 2 disks and create a LVM partition afterwards? 2. Was the Raid 1 Configuration already gone due to corruption?3.4KViews0likes9CommentsVSR 16: Service Pack 1 - available now!
