NetBackup Hyper-V 2012 Backup moving Virtual Machine to Save State
Hi Techs, We are facing issue while a Hyper V Backup. When I start a backup of the HyperV of 2012 Server. Virtual Machine is moving to Saved State and backup will start. During the backup. We are unable to access the Virtual Machine and Application. Once backup Completes it will comes to normal State and even during the backup no vss shadows are creating. Any inputs. Rgds, punbs
VMware Snapshop backup with error 156
Hi everybody, I have been fighting with a problem envolving VMware backup using NetBackup 7.5.0.4 and ESX 5.0. When I start a job to backup virtual machines, I get the error as shown the attached file "ERROR1". Netbackup for VMWare
Hi, I have netbackup 7.5.0.4 and I am backing up VMware environment, the problem is when I run many jobs together (3 or 4), I noticed that the size on the datastore (VM storage) become full, i checked and found that the snapshot take the same size as the primary copy, so whats wrong here, the size of the snapshot is supposed to be a few gigbytes, why it take the same size, it seems it do mirroring for the disk.VSS took snapshots with Data Ontap VSS provider after netbackup service restart
Hi, I have a problem with some of production servers that installed snapdrive and netbackup. Whent I restart the netbackup services, it calls VSS and Data Ontap VSS provider, then Data Ontap VSS provider starts to take snapshots of RDM disks one by one and mount on the Virtual machine, and destroy it and unmount disk, it repeats until VSS timeout about 2 days!! But some of disks are destroyed but not unmounted, and it is big problem. Netbackup Version: 7.5.0.4 Vsphere Version 5 U1 Snapdrive version 6.4 I tried to select "system Provider" with command "w2koption -backup -snapshotprovidertype 1" but nothing changed. Hello - Currently I am running Netbackup 7.5.0.1 on Linux master connected with two media servers, and current biggest challenge is my whole Netbackup infra accommodates more than 95% of VMware backups and both media servers acts as VMware hosts. At one point backup fails at Status 636, below are few steps which I tried to troubleshoot: * Captured Network utilization, found normal. * Enabled Perform Monitoring and found CPU utilization also Normal. Symantec is recommending to upgrade to 7.5.0.3, how much is this feasible and is there any other steps which I am missing here. Looking forward for Solution
Exchang 2010 with NetBackup 7.1 the backup partially successful
hello I face a problem wich backup partially successful , thats mean the back up not success I find that the logs drive completly full (100 GB ) and the mailboxDB normal only (35 GB used) the server stopper reciving Email , so I move some of the logs to another drive to make a free space , after that the service work again and we can recive the email but the main problem still exist the report pooblem logs from the console 10/12/20117:01:58 PMmanagment-srvadmfexch01Warning10877Backupfrom client admfexch01: WRN - Exchange Validation for 'Microsoft Information Store:\Mailbox Database 1771798554\' failed.
