Backup Exec 16 Fails to Backup System State on Windows 2012R2
Currently experiencing an issue while attempting to backup our Windows 2012 R2 Servers using Backup Exec 16. Trying to do a full system backup using the Backup Exec Service Account which has been granted the following User Rights: Act as part of the Operating System Create a Token Object Backup Files and Directories Restore Files and Directories Manage audit and security logs Logon as a Batch Job Logon as a Service Member of the Local Administrators Group I have also configured AOFO to use Microsoft Software Shadow Copy Provider and deselected Enable single instance backup for NTFS volumes, Back up files and directories by following juntion points and mount points, and Back up files and directories by following symbolic links but we still receive the following errors: Job ended: Friday, July 21, 2017 at 9:41:21 AM Completed status: Failed Final error: 0xe0008488 - Access is denied. I have also looked at the vssadmin list writers on the server and all report no errors and stable Anyone have a solution so I can get a successful full backup including the System State?

Backup Exec 15 - Unable to install Feature Pack 5
Hi Unable to install feature pack 5 to my Backup exec 15. Liveupdate utility throws this error each time; <b>812: A program that was part of this update failed when it ran. This update was not applied. Click here for more information on this error </b> Researched high and low for a fix, none of which have worked (e.g. register dll, checked permissions). Rebooted server several times and retried, same error. This log throws this error linking to the install file:///C:/ProgramData/Symantec/Backup%20Exec/Logs/BKUPINST15.HTM #01-22-2017,22:21:46 01-22-2017,22:21:28 : File: BewLaunch.exe, Directory: C:\ProgramData\Symantec\Backup Exec\{CB639F34-57DC-4413-9762-C4450D5E1262}\, Size: 161256 + 01-22-2017,22:21:28 : ERROR: Error 1328.Error applying patch to file C:\Config.Msi\PT46A5.tmp.
