Web Services API for OpsCenter
Hi I've been searchign around for information on a web services API into OpsCenter, but so far have drawn a blank. Is there a web services API that can be used to integrate into other applications? If so can you point towards further information. Thanks. Nick.5.6KViews0likes12CommentsOpscenter 7.6 Not showing all Failed Jobs
Good Afternoon Everyone, I have a question that hopefully is an easy one. We recently implemented an upgraded OpsCenter server at version 7.6 running Windows Server 2008 R2. Everything is up and running and our 3 backup hosts (multiple sites) are reporting in normally. My question is as follows: WhenI create a custom failed job report, it lists all failed job except for the jobs that failed due to the backup window closing. I checked the configuration of the report on our old OpsCenter 7.1 server and it is identical. Even if I choose a standard report for failed jobs, the backup window closed failures do not show. I can run a separate report for the backup window being closed which does show those jobs. Is this a normal function now in 7.6 as I would have thought a failed job report would list all failures regardless of type of failure thank you in advance of any insight Gordon1.2KViews2likes3CommentsOpsCenter Java Logging to 'systemprofile'
We have a dedicated OpsCenter server running, version 7.5.0.1 on Windows 2008 R2. There are a number of Java log files in C:\Windows\System32\config\systemprofile, currently 11 of them: java0.log, java1.log through to java11.log ... most of these files are approximatley 348MB The concern is that left unmanaged these will continue to be created possibly exhausting space on the OS drive. I could setup a process (scheduled task or similar) to manage these by deleting old files but I think it should be possible to configure something to manage them automatically. Our questions are: 1) Are these logs rotating already? 2) If the logs are not being rotated, can they be configured to rotate? 3) If applicable where are the settings to manage the rotation of these logs configured?Solved3.9KViews1like5CommentsOpscenter 7.7.1 on Windows Server 2012 R2 Datacenter
Hello All, Just wondering if anyone has been running Opscenter 7.7.1 successfully on Windows Server 2012 R2 Datacenter version. Yestreday I installed Opscenter 7.7.1 on a server running Windows Server 2012 R2 Datacenter. The installation completed successfully however the gui woudnt open, all I saw was a blank white page with an error "An unknown exception has occured. To continue, click on any tab." I worked with support but still we coudnt get it to work. In order to isolate the issue we installed opscenter on a server runningWindows Server 2012 R2 Standard and bingo it worked. Support guy came to a conclusion that datacenter edition of windows 2012 R2 is not suported, whe I mentioned this is not documented anywhere in Netbackup documentation,he said he wasnt clear but will flag it and will inform the relevant team. Meanwhile I googled the difference in both versions, looks like both have similar features and code with only difference being the virtualisation rights included with the license. Makes me wonder why woudnt Opscenter run one but run on the other. https://www.microsoft.com/en-gb/server-cloud/products/windows-server-2012-r2-essentials/comparison.aspx1.2KViews0likes1CommentBackup Image Retention Summary by Client Report Needed
Report that shows the retentions to avoid or identify retentions that deviate from standards of tapes held more than 90 days. Hi, So I got this 5 pictures.Basicaly I want to create a report with no time bassis on retention level. I want it to show me Client Name, Policy name, Job protected size, Retention Level, Retention Period of the jobs only wiht a retention of >45 days. Simple right? see how I got retention level setted up in host properties(the interval, see picture 1) and add condition in the report. If the retention level is low than 45 days which in term of Opscenter mean Retention Level = interval(0,3) in my case (picture 1 + picture 2) with some simple columns like in picture 3 but I got no results. If I remove the condition Retention Level, and add time bassis like: 45 day before(picture 4+picture 5), I got data, but if I want to add Retention Level condition and play with it I get nothig, why? what i`ve done wrong? Any info you need to figure this out? And what the heck mens retention level -1, No retention? :))) expired? or can I set up a schedule without retention period? //George2KViews0likes2CommentsOps Center 7.7.2 - JOB Collection not functioning
I have recently upgraded a small Netbackup environment from 7506 to 772, and following upgrade the JOB element of the data collection into Ops Center is not functioning. I firstly upgraded Ops Center to 772, followed by the Master Server. Both are running on the same W2K8R2 server as this is a small installation with a single NBU Master/Media server. I noticed after a short while that there is NO Job data since the upgrade was performed. I have performed a DEFRAG of the Ops Center database, recycled Ops center, recycled NBU services and finally rebooted the W2K8R2 server - all with no effect. The Master server is showing as partially connected and The error i am seeing on the JOB data type is as follows: [Nbsl/Agent communication exception]: ErrorCode - 25 : cannot connect on socket (Can not connect to Remote Service:[bpjobd-server name]) As this is on the same server there should be no issues with communications - and Windows Firewall is set to off. Any advice appreciated...... AJ.Solved2KViews0likes4CommentsDaily backup report using symantec netbackup opscenter analytic
