Need to create High availibility of EV SQL existing server using SFHA
current Environment: EV Server is on one physical machine. and SQL server is on another physical machine. Now we are planning to do a VCS cluster. For clustering we are adding one Failover node.We are using SFHA for Clustering. Background: EV databases are located on the share drive and SQL system databases are located on Local Disk. So as we have checked in the SQL admin guide for VCS there they have mentioned that the system databases should also be located on Shared volumes. We have moved the System database to Shared volume. Now my query is that How we can install the SQL server on Failover node with the same system Databases of our primary node.310Views0likes0CommentsReplication and Failover Product for SQL 2008 server
Hello All, I do not really know much about Clustering, Replication and Failover. I know the concepts from a hardware firewall and some discussions. I have a client that requires Replication of data on an SQL server from one location to the other SQL server at the remote site. I think Replication Exec may work from the name. What are the things I need to put in place and what Symantec product do I need to use in order to achieve this request. The client initially wanted Backup Exec 2014. But his request is more than just backup and restore. All the help will be appreciated. Thank you.770Views0likes4CommentsHow To Manage Multiple VCS Clusters from a Central Location
What is the preferred tool/process used to manage multiple VCS clusters? We have several clusters in our environment and to date, the administrators RDP to one of the nodes in the cluster, open the Veritas Cluster Manager - Java Console. What is the solution to see all clusters in a single window or dashboard and also get notification of cluster events? Where is the documentation of how to setup the solution? Are there any videos that demonstrate how to setup or how the solution works?961Views2likes1Comment
