On windows, how to import a diskgroup made up of cloned disks on the same host as the original diskgroup
On unix, wecan do: vxdg -n newckdg -o useclonedev=on -o updateid import ckdg, or writing a new UDID to a disk using "vxdisk updateudid" or "vxdisk set clone=on" But I do not see these command options for Windows. So how do you import a disk group containing cloned disks on Windows? I did not find any posting on this topics. Thanks.Solved1.6KViews0likes1CommentQuestions about Volume Manager
Hello everyone, I have two questions about the Volume Manager within InfoScale Storage Foundation: 1) Is the Volume Manager supported on a Windows Server 2012 R2 with Oracle Database? 2) Did I understand it correctly, that if you make a volume from e.g. 8 x SAN LUNs that you can expand the volume size by expanding those 8 LUNs in the SAN without having to recreate the whole Volume? (In other words expanding the volume by increasing the size of the current LUNs?) Thanks in advance! regards, VilleSolved1.2KViews0likes1CommentHow to adda node to the cluster SFWHA

Hello, We have 400GB space on our dive and only 110 is used and we need to shrink our volume to 200 GB. I looked at the Windows document and looks like straight forward through VEA to shrink the volume. When we do it in unix/linux we need to resize the FS , before we reduce the volume, but in Windows they are doing without reducing the FS. How are they doing it in Windows without reducing the FS. Thanks in advanceSolved1.1KViews0likes3CommentsShrink LUN on production

Hello - I implement the SAN LUNs under the VXVM control (DSM DMP)on MS Winodws 2012 using 2 paths for each LUNs. While I test copy the data, I unplug one FC ( one path), the copy progress is paused about 20 sec and then continue. I am not sure this is the normal behavior of DSM DMP. Are there any way to spedd up the fail-over process. - I also test mirror the volume across 2 SAN storage. When I shutdown 1 of storage , the copy process is paused about 30-40 sec and the continue. - About the DCO log (FAST resync) of mirror log. By default if I enable the Fast Resync , ADCO log is create on one of the DISK in DG. Do we need to mirror the DCO to other LUN in DG?
