Migrate ApplicationHA to new vCenter server
We're consolidating a number of vCenter servers into a single instance. One of the clusters we want to move has VMs managed by AppHA 6.0.1. Is there an easy way to migrate the cluster configuration from the old vCenter server to the new one without causing any cluster outages or losing the cluster configuration? I've found this article on how to deal with the permanent loss of a vCenter server, but an unsure what might happen if the existing vCenter server stays online. https://sort.symantec.com/public/documents/appha/6.0/windows/productguides/html/appha_userguide_60_win/apas11.htmSolved8.6KViews0likes9CommentsWhere is supposed to be the Vmware High Availavility console for infoscale

On unix, wecan do: vxdg -n newckdg -o useclonedev=on -o updateid import ckdg, or writing a new UDID to a disk using "vxdisk updateudid" or "vxdisk set clone=on" But I do not see these command options for Windows. So how do you import a disk group containing cloned disks on Windows? I did not find any posting on this topics. We are trying to Implement Transparent Data Encyrption (TDE) on Microsoft SQL Server 2012 Enterprise Edition (64-bit) (SP2) (11.0.5343.0) under Veritas Cluster Server 5.1 with three nodes, but have had problems. The OS is Windows 2012 R2. Has anybody been able to successfully implement TDE? If so, can you give me any advice, tips, caveats, etc.? Neither Veritas support nor Microsoft have any answers. I haven't been able to find anything posted already in this community or forums. Thank you for your help.613Views2likes1CommentQuestions about Volume Manager
Hello everyone, I have two questions about the Volume Manager within InfoScale Storage Foundation: 1) Is the Volume Manager supported on a Windows Server 2012 R2 with Oracle Database? 2) Did I understand it correctly, that if you make a volume from e.g. 8 x SAN LUNs that you can expand the volume size by expanding those 8 LUNs in the SAN without having to recreate the whole Volume? (In other words expanding the volume by increasing the size of the current LUNs?) Thanks in advance! regards, VilleSolved1.2KViews0likes1CommentSQL Server with Veritas HA

Dear colleagues, The question is simple: is HP StoreServ 7000/8000 compatible with Storage Foundation 5.1? HCL for Storage Foundation 5.1 (http://www.veritas.com/docs/000008646) does not contain any information regarding StoreServ 7000/8000. HCL for SF 6.0 (http://www.veritas.com/docs/000011772) has StoreServ 7000/8000 compatibility included. So will StoreServ 7000/8000 be backward compatible with Storage Foundation 5.1? Are there any specifiic differences between SF 5.1 anf SF 6.0 that could prevent StoreServ from backward compatibility?1.3KViews0likes2Comments"vxdmpadm pathinfo" reports "internal disk" for Hitachi Luns
Dear all, I have the following infrastructure: Two Windows physical servers in a VCS cluster. Serversare using Hitachi SAN LDEVs. Veritas DMP is used for I/O multipathing. My problem is that on one of the nodes, the command "vxdmpadm pathinfo" returns "internal disk" messages for all the external Hitachi LDEVs. The other nodes is reporting the paths properly as expected. Example: Harddisk23: is an internal disk and no DMP information can be found. I should state that the server does not seem to suffer from any issues with accessing the Hitachi LDEVs. Can you please help me understand - Why does vxdmpadm returns this incorret message? Should any corrective actions be taken? Is this a source for concern? Thank you all in advance.1.6KViews0likes0Comments
