BackupExec 11d & Exchange mailbox issue

Hey everyone,

I'm having a strange issue with BE 11d and it's GRT for backing up exchange mailboxes and emails.

It seems that I can't restore a single mailbox item (or a single mailbox). When trying to restore I can't go below the maiboxes' Store level.

I'm using a user with a maibox and enough permissions, the mailbox is not hidden from the GAL.

Also, I've checked for dependencies with Dependency Walker on BEDSXESE.DLL and it's missing 2 DLLs: ieshims.dll & wer.dll

All the required agents are configured & running fine. Server A is running the BE and server B is running exchange.

Can it be happening due to the missing DLLs ? or something else ?

If you are looking at tape backup set, you will not be able to restore individual items directly from tape.

Try duplicating to disk first, then you can restore a individual mail....

Make sure you have enough space in the staging location to host the full backup set from which you want to restore a single item.

I'm indeed trying to restore from a tape and not from a disk.

Is there an article that explains this GRT-not-working-from-tape-drives ?

The above TN addressed four constraints which needs to be satisfied before taking the backup.

If satisfied, you can see individual mail boxes in the restore selection lists.
