Can Backup Exec 2010 backup Hyper-V's from Windows Server 2012 R2

Hi All

Thank you for taking the time to read my query.

I have recenently updated my hyper-v host from server 2008 to 2012R2.

I have re-intalled the Agent onto the server but now backup exec does not see the hyper-v servers at all.

Does anyone know if there is a compatabilty issue or if server 2012 is not supported by backup exec 2010.

Not supported by BE 2010. You will need at least BE 2014 or the latest version BE 15.

Extra comment - if you plan to go to BE15 be aware it needs 64bit hardware and OS on the Backup Exec Server itself (your current 2010 hardware may therefore not support an upgrade)

He would also need to upgrade his BE to BE 2010 R3 SP4 before he can upgrade to BE 15
