Exchange 2000 - Informationstore

Hello,

I have the Problem that the Informationstore is not visible in to backup.

We have the following Situation:
2 Servers under Windows 2000 and 1 NetwareServer with Netware 5.1

On the first Windows Server we have Installed:
Windows 2000 Server
BackupExec. 9.1 SP2
Remote Agent for Netware
Remote Agent for Exchange
Remote Agent for Windows Server
Tapedrive (Tandberg SLR100 Autoloader)
All Backup Exec Services are running fine

On the Second Server we have installed:
Wiindows 2000 Server SP3
Exchange 2000 Server SP3
The Task BackupExec Remote Agent for Windows Servers is running
All Exchange Services are running

On the Server where Backup Exec is running we can't see the Informationstore in the Backup Window only the Exchange Mailboxes.

In the Regestry we set the key: "Restrict Anonymous Support" on both Servers to 1 with no effect.

I hope that anyone has an Idea to solve the Problem.

Hello,

Please refer the following troubleshooting steps:
1. Verify that the version of ESEBCLI2.DLL match on the Backup Exec server and the Exchange server. If they don't the Exchange service packs may be out of sync. The Backup Exec server must have the same Service Pack for Exchange as the Exchange server.

2. Verify that it is possible to select and backup the Exchange stores from Windows Backup.

3. The Backup Exec service account must be a member of the "Administrators" group on the remote Exchange server. That's located under "Active Directory Users and Computers" in the folder "Builtin."

One more thing to check for:-

There are 2 different licenses for the Exchange option - 1 is Option for Exchange Option - the other is Option for Exchange 2000 - make sure you license is Option for Exchange 2000.

Hello,

This is with referance to your post on the Exchange Information store backup. Although this is a delayed reply, we need to know if the problem persists. If yes, do elaborate the following:
- the number of Exchange licenses that you have
- the results of the workarounds suggested in the previous posts.

Do update us in case you need more information. However if we do not hear from you within two business days, this post would be marked ‘assumed answered’ and would be moved to ‘answered questions’ pool.

Regards.
