I run Backup Exec 2012 - and now the SP2 Beta.
Probably the worst design in the product is the inablitly to delete a scheduled task within a job.
Only after job has started, can i then cancel it.
There are a plethora of reasons when the ability to simply delete a scheduled task would be extremely helpful, heres one.
When backup exec services stop (unknown Symantec and MS reasons), jobs sometimes are put on hold, or continue to run when the services are restored. So if i come into work and check the previous nights backups to find that none of them have worked, but now have 20 backup tasks waiting for me to take off hold, i have to manually, one by one, wait for the task to begin then cancel it, wait for it to cancel, many times having to hit cancel up to 3 times over a period of 1 - 2 minutes before the task actually cancels. What a big waste of time this is. I want to cancel them because i prefer to just let the new schedules run the following night, instead of having these run during the day and then by the time they have finished, start all over again for the next evening.
Symantec do you think you could possibly rethink that design?
Why is this not able to be made a feature?

...head on over to the IDeas section and add it in there.
I believe that this release addressed support for applications like Exchange 2013 and Windows Server 2012...the next release is apparently going to address functionality.
