We have Enterprise Vault 2007 V7.5 in our environmet. The issue occurs when user tries to open archive mails from thier laptop Lenovo x220, however they dont face any issue while they login to citrix environment. Local firewall is disabled on laptop.

This can be compatibality issue but i am not sure. i have check EV compatibality document and it says that outlook2010/ Windows 7/ Windows 2008 R2 SP1 is not compatible with Enterprise Vault 2007, however it works with Windows 2008 R2 Enterprise SP1.

Below are the configuration:

Client Laptop Details:
Windows 7 Professional Service Pack 1
Outlook 2010 Professional Plus
EV outlook Add-in 7.5.3115

Server Version: Enterprise Vault 2007 v7.5

Citrix Server details:
Windows 2008 R2 Enterprise SP1
Outlook 2010 Professional Plus
EV outlook Add-in 7.5.3115

can anyone suggest on this. Thanks in Advance.
Regards,
Gautam

The error says it can't register the add-in.  Have you tried to re-install with an Admin account?

If yes, I would recommend trying the EV 8 Client as it will work with EV 7.5 server.

Please keep in mind that EV2007 went out of support life back in December 2013; if you needed technical support, you wouldn't be able to get it by calling Symantec Technical Support. The most recent version released is EV11 so it's probably a good time to start thinking about doing some upgrades. Tony's suggestion to upgrade the client has a decent chance of solving your immediate problem, but I wouldn't recommend running with EV2007 for too much longer. There's too many new features and fixes in more recent versions to miss out on them, and it's pretty awesome to be able to get tech support when you need it.
