Has anyone got experience in configuring FSA for Netapp filers. If yes, please share your thoughts and any specific considerations in implementing the same..

What version of EV?

It is EV 8.0 or 9.0

We use FSA with EV8 and now 9 on Netapp filers.

Theres not really any specific considerations.. It works well.. we added a separate EV server to handle FSA as the agent runs on this server and is quite intensive.

Only (minor) thing we have run into is quotas/qtrees on the filer will count the full-size of the file even if its archived by EVS.. the only accurate way to see how much space is being used is at the volume level.

another minor thing is, when testing note that if you try to recall an item on the EV Server it will fail, it has to be a recall from a machine other than the EV Server
