FSA Bulk restore throughput time

Hi All,

Tough question, do we know what the throughput is for a bulk restore with regards to the FSA Utility? I have a client who needs to perform a bulk restore and I need to give a time frame for this to happen. 

Also considering third party tools to perform this job.

Hi Rdosramos,

This is really a difficult question to give specific numbers.  It would depend on the number/size of the items being restored as well as the network connectivity.  

You could get a Dtrace of FSAUtility and EVFileSvrArcMngr to determine the rate.  In the case of -t FSAUtility builds the file list and hands off to EVFileSvrArcMngr process to perform the restore.
