Ok to import an exported archive PST into two mailboxes?

Hi there,

A confirmation on using the PST migration wizard from the vault console in EV9 please: can I export an archive to a PST file and then import the messages into two different mailbox archives without problems?

Scenario:

I've exported an archive from E2K10 MailboxA. Now I need to import that content into the archive of MailboxX and also MailboxY. Much later, I will delete MailboxA and its archibe.

So I make two copies of the exported PST file then I import the first copy into MailboxX using the "Import PST" wizard in the vault console.

Now can I import the second copy directly into MailboxY in the same way?

Just wondering if EV will see the same message ID in the imported exported messages and complain ...

Thanks,

- Alan.

Hi Rob,

Thanks for your answer and sorry I wasn"t clear.

I'm importing the *same* export into two different mailboxes' EV archives.

So I'm exporting the EV archive of MailboxA to a PST file using the vault console. Then I make a copy of the PST file and import the original file into the EV archive of MailboxX and the copy into the EV archive of MailboxY.

Not creating any shortcuts, I'm manually selecting the source PST and target mailbox archive. The exported archive is several GB.

Migration Settings:
------------------------------
=> Ignore the 'Deleted items' folder
=> Delete migrated items from PSTs
=> The language of the PSTs is Western European (1252)
=> Do not archive calendar items that have not expired
=> Folder structures will remain separate
=> Folder 'TRANSFER' under the mailbox root folder corresponds to the root folder of the PST

Thanks.
