Hi All,

I'm trying to perform the bulk recall of any files from the FSA archive from my Remote Desktop session on the WIndows 2008 File server, so what's the registry entries that I need to set / change the value ?

Thanks,

You would need to set RevertItemsToPlaceholders to 0.

Also, don't forget to restart the Placeholder service.

One question, why do you have the EVPlaceholderservice.exe in the ExcludedExes registry key?  Seems like you would want that in there as the ExcludedExe's registry key is supposed to be for processes that you do not want to recall placeholders.

I think this is what you need:

Do you want the items to be rearchived?  If not you need to set another key, the RevertItemsToPlaceholders = 0

Cool, thanks Tony. No I do not want the item to be re-archived.

what about the following registry shown in the screenshot below:

Capture_3.JPG

is that correctly set or do I have to set it into some other values to ensure the FSA bulk recall is working over the weekend ?

Why would you not use FSAUtility?

Tony,

Yes, it was there so that it doesn't get ingested by EV I guess. Im not entirely sure because the EV was installed by my predecessor.

So Should I set the Recall* key into higher value ?
