Hi,
Our Enterprise vault 2007 SP3 server has stop archiving items.
I have followed Symantec support articles to delete the archiving task and change the system mailbox however it did not help. Since I have done that, I am now getting the following events:
Event ID 2257
Source: Retrieval Task
Event ID 8392
Source: Retrieval Task
I have seen a couple of articles about these, indicating the GC parameter however I don't believe this is the cause of the problem. Has anyone any idea?
Finally, our Exchange servers do not have the same level of Microsoft patching than the Enterprise Vault. They differ by a few months, the Exchange servers having the latest patches applied. Does anyone recall a problem with this kind of scenario?
Many thanks in advance
EB

Check the ArchivingRetrievalTask table and see if you have the TaskID reported in the error present there, Incase if it is not present follow the steps below
1. Confirm that all the MSMQ queues are empty
2. Stop the Ev services
3. Delete all the MSMQ queues for the exchage server in Question
4. Restart the services and Restart the mailbox archiving task
5. All the queues should be created automatically
Futher instance of this error should be suppressed.
