Hi,
I opened a provisioning group for users that left, ranked #1
policy setting to archive ALL ipm type of msg
targeting 3 OU's
set registry keys:
ExcludeDisabledADAccounts = 0
Process hidden mailboxes = 1
And yet - the report say : No action taken: Windows account disabled
Any suggestions?
Sarah

Hey Sarah
I looked at the dtrace and in the registry section is appear ProcessHiddenMailboxes has spaces:
Process hidden mailboxes (DWORD) 1 [0x1]
This should be one word:

Just to verify, you restarted the tasks after you set the keys, right?
Could you dtrace the provisioning task and post here?

the reg and provisioning were added few months ago, task was restarted as well as servers many times.
How do I trace provisioning task? I don't see provisioning in the dtrace options.

cool deal. It might be worth double checking the registry key entries, make sure there are not any spaces after the name, etc..

Hi Tony,
Checked the registry keys - no spaces...
I enabled some of the disabled users - they started archiving again.
disabled users:
Dorin Pessach
ask-mako
From exchange mailbox entry:
MbxDisplayName | MbxArchivingState | MbxExchangeState | ExchangeMbxType | MbxWarningLimit | MbxSendLimit | MbxReceiveLimit | FirstName | LastName |
ask-mako | 0 | 0 | 1 | 0 | 0 | 0 | ask-mako | |
Dorin Pessach | 1 | 0 | 1 | 0 | 0 | 0 | Dorin | Pessach |
I still cannot figure out why it is ignoring the registry values...

That's weird... I looked at it yesterday, am certain it was ok... and as I copy paste it from the registry pdf I could'nt of copied it wrong.
Changed it now.
Could it be that the ProcessHiddenMailboxes affect the disabled accounts as well?
I'll restart the services now, and update tomorrow.

It could if the disabled mailbox is also hidden. If it still isn't working tomorrow do a run now in normal mode against a mailbox that fails and dtrace the archiving task.
12-23-2014 01:55 AM
ok
Mailboxes are just disabled, not hidden.
Still don't work.
Any more ideas?

Can you grab a dtrace of the archive task whilst doing a run now against one of the disabled mailboxes?
12-23-2014 07:01 AM
OK, I don't understand this.
Log from yesterday: Dorin Pessach No action taken: Windows account disabled
Run now - user is archiving
The dtrace was huge as run now archives all - so I cannot upload it...
Any idea what prevents the archive to run on scheduled but succeed in run now?

bizarro! No need for the dtrace if it is archiving. I would let it ride and see if the schedule run picks up anything tonight.
