one of my customer complains that users try and open archived stubs, and get the message the item cannot be downloaded, when double clicking the grey message you get the error code 8004060C.
If I reset ev client - it will solve the issue for few minutes, also closing and re-opening the outlook solves the issue for a few minutes.
it can happen any time, and if an item didn't open now, it can be that will open without any issues in a few minutes.
Adding Dtrace from client, I couldn't find any reason for this occurring.

So, oddly, that error code means that the PST is full.
Which is ... odd.
The Outlook Add-in downloads the message, pops it in a PST file, and then uses the Outlook Object Model to display it to the user. The PST is built on the fly, and is temporary, and is aware of PSTDisableGrow.
But the items you are downloading are 'small'. So.. I would check :
a/ Is this one, or lots of users?
b/ Do they have client side antivirus scanning enabled?
c/ On the affected machine, does the issue happen for other users?
d/ For the affected user, what if they use another machine?
e/ Do you have any other Outlook registry keys deployed, such as ones relating to ANSI/Unicode behaviour of PSTs? And the registry keys could be coming from Group Policies, so check those too.
