we are using Enterprise vault 2007 with SP5, we are facing many issues  like :

high number of queues, slow performance of archive explorer & corrupted indexes

We are using Netapp storage device : FAS2040

after reviewing "Enterprise Vault Best Practice"

we have found that "opportunistic locking must be turned off" P.17 from the filer side

SO does Symantec confirm that the mentioned feature must be turned off?

is there any impact?
