upgrading legacy index to elastic index

Hi All,

after i upgraded legacy index to the elastic index what should i do with legacy index locations.

shall i delete them, if i deleted them is the end-user will be affected ?

Hello Saeed,

If the upgrade runs succesfully, old locations should be deleted automatically. From document Indexing 14.2 Best Practice 

During the index upgrade process end-users and Accelerators can continue to search the old 32-bit Alta-vista, 64-bit Velocity index volumes until the upgrade is complete at which point it will be switched over to the 64-bit Elasticsearch volume, and old index volume deleted.
