The Veritas University Relations team’s ongoing priority is to attract the best emerging talent and provide an excellent virtual internship experience. We are focused on creating an experience that helps prepare interns for early career success with exciting technology industry opportunities in the cloud era.

Sip[ and Paint Happy Hour Activity.pngOur Internship Program challenges a new generation of talent to use innovation and creativity differently in their roles. This year, to encourage strong team connections, the University Relations Team hosted numerous collaborative virtual events, such as The Legend of Treasure Mountain Escape Room, Sip & Paint Happy Hour, and the Pixel Art Challenge. These activities helped demonstrate our company’s core value: to excel as a team through collaboration and inclusion.

For example, the Escape Room challenge required interns to build trust with integrity and accountability to get to the next level of the challenge. For the Pixel Art Challenge, groups

of four to five interns came together to generate a specific image using excel colored cells within a timed period.

These activities enable each intern to use effective communication and critical thinking in a time constraint environment. With numerous ways to complete each activity, it fostered opportunities for innovative thinking and creativity.

During these virtual events, our executives also shared how they empower their teams to succeed and grow by taking ownership in their roles.

Leadership Meeting with Interns Activity.jpgVeritas CEO, Greg Hughes, spoke to the interns about the company's history and strategy. Then, CFO, Mark Dentinger, presented future direction and work experiences, and then Head of Corporate Responsibility, Claire Verrot, spoke about the Employee Resource Groups (ERGs), sustainability, and the Employee Value Proposition.

We proudly report that America’s intern 2021 class consisted of 43 interns from 23 different universities with different educational, financial, and ethnic backgrounds. Upon completing the internship program, many interns recommended Veritas as a great place to work and have returned as full-time employees who contribute to building our company’s next generation of talent. Congratulations and well done to all those who graduated from the 2021 program, and good luck with your future careers.

If you’re interested in joining the internship program, please email emily.cai@veritas.com  or sherri.bruun@veritas.com, or check the Veritas careers page for opportunities.
