5220 Appliance 4x 1GB bond

what are the effect of each setting

Always use client side deduplication

Prefered to use client side duplication ( whats does this suggest) Is it suggesting client side first, then media server) What effect does it over accelerator backups.

With always use client side deduplication most backup have streams failing with error 14 file read filed and a few with error 83 media open error.

with regards to error 14 I have found the following

With client side deduplication the client server does all the work need to be able to resolve the media server name/ storage server name, found that it was trying to resovle via the short name rather than the FQDN. Made the changes in the host file by adding the short name.

ok checked the admin guide fully understand the difference's between Prefered to use client side duplication and always use client side deduplication

however really concerned with the errors codes starting to get error code 87 as well
