Backup job fails with status 159

Found out that my netbackup license expired :p 

 

Hi,

All my backup jobs fails with status 159. In the detail section stated:

Jan 25, 2024 8:31:51 AM - Info bpbrm (pid=862505) The data-in-transit encryption (DTE) is disabled for the client (console1.aaa.lab) as the global DTE mode is set to 'Preferred Off' and the client DTE mode is set to 'Automatic'

Have tried looking in SORT, however I am not too sure of what to do to troubleshoot this. In SORT stated its referring to some incorrect license or so. However all the jobs are running fine for the past few months using the license that I have.

Hello

Aren't you using NBU appliance with NBU 5.1.1?? If so are you aware of the NBU license for the same?

have you came across this TN?

I you are not running on NBU appliances please provide more details about your env like master, media server OS, NBU release etc.. What is your licensing model traditional vs capacity based, etc.

To answer your question, my environment is running on Veritas Flex Appliance running Flex 3.0. NetBackup 10.0.0.1 for both primary and media server. Using NFR license as this setup is only lab used by our presales to do demo.
