Hi folks,
I would like to limit a network backup client bandwidth for a client to 15000KB/Sec.
I already set in the Bandwidth and Throttle bandwidth and restart the daemon after finishing but the limitation seem not to apply.
Can you please help check in the attachment for more detail.
Thank you very much in advance for your suppor.t

Hi @halq
How and where have you configured the limit bandwidth configuration ?

Hi Nicolai,
Thank you for your response. Can you refer to the attachment to know the way I set the limit on the bandwidth?
I read the article https://www.veritas.com/support/en_US/article.100039058 and that is the way I do

Hi @halq
Try configuring the setting on the client instead of the master server - if possible. I have a faint memory on the documentation not being correct.

Could not be configured on the client side, and has no setting for the network limitation bandwidth.

is this a filesystem backup?
Do you configure the backup for client side deduplication?

According to the tech note :
The transfer of backup image meta data and/or control information is not constrained, nor are backup types that do not use bpbkar to read the file system.
The screenshot you provided, was that from a database backup ?

Hello,
you must use IP addresses in the From/To fields in Bandwidth screen, not hostnames (even if its the same).
