MSDP Credentials issue

Hi Guys,

i configured a new MSDP on a new Media Server, and when asking for crednetials i entered in the username and password symbols like \ * which i figured out they will not work when adding new servers to this MSDP, so i tried changing the username but i failed and i managed to change the password.

So, my question is how to change the username, cause i tried different means but couldn\t change it.

tried using tpconfig & spauser

Dont think you can change the username, only the password. Just decommission it, uninstall and reinstall.

"Example to query the authentication table where MSDP is configured in the /msdp directory:
spadb -d /msdp/databases -c “select username,passwd from authentication where id=1”

I think it should be possible to update the database this way, why not, but who has done this before ??

I wish someone can give us some tips.
