NetBackup recommended IOPS or throughput

Hi NetBackup Experts,

Is there a recommended throughput or IOPS for a Disk storage repository (SAN / DAS) for NetBackup that will be able to utilized the AIR functionality?

Hi @leandro_dalit 

The requirements are really around the storage used for MSDP. And the requirement is for throughput rather than IOPS.

AIR throughput is generally limited by the network link, so storage speed is less of an constraining factor.

And a additional recommendation beside what @davidmoline mentioned.

Organize you workload. Don't mix read and write workload for spinning disks at the same time - it will kill performance.

Something like:

Write to disk during night for backup.
Read from disk during day time for replications
