Windows Netbackup 9.1.0.1 Authorization Service wont start now after server went down.

Hello

Running netbackup 9.1.0.1 on a 2012R2 windows server.  One Master/Media server.

We were plugging power into a new server and for some reason our Netbackup (Dell 730 server) inadvertently went down.  Possible the fibre cables were sensitive and wasnt happy about being slightly jiggled / moved etc..  which cause the server to go down.  Server came back up but cant access the Netbackup Admin console.   looks like the Netbackup windows Authorization Service will not start.

I see in the vxazd.log the following -

8/11/2023 8:14:15 AM VxSS-vxazd ERROR V-18-3001 Authentication failed.

8/11/2023 8:14:17 AM VxSS-vxazd ERROR V-18-3001 Authentication failed.

8/11/2023 8:14:25 AM VxSS-vxazd LOG V-18-4204 Server is stopped

Any suggestions or possible solutions on why this would happen and how to correct it so I can login to the admin console.  I can see that Netbackup ran some jobs via our netbackup OPSCenter server.  All the necessary netbackup services are up except for the AUTHORIZATION Service.

Thanks

Veritas determined with the server crash caused some corruption -  They didnt give me the tech note as it was restricted and not public.

Basically had me move out the following from the \Veritas\NetBackup\var\global\vxss\eab\data\systemprofile\certstore\keystore\

PrivKeyFile*  (2 files) and then the PubKeyFile* (1 file) to a temp dir for safe keeping.

Also had to move

\Veritas\NetBackup\var\global\vxss\eab\data\systemprofile\certstore\

17daa386-localhost!1556!nbatd* to the temp folder also.

Then do a bpup.exe -v -f

The Authorization service is now running and stayed running.   The files I moved out are automatically recreated.
