database backup is failed with error in the job:

bphdb exit status = 29: failed trying to exec a command

from database side, the rman output is as below:

ORA-19506: failed to create sequential file, name="bk_67834_1_1146918129", parms=""

ORA-27028: skgfqcre: sbtbackup returned error

ORA-19511: non RMAN, but media manager or vendor specific failure, error text:

   VxBSACreateObject: Failed with error:

   Server Status:  Communication with the server has not been initiated or the server status has not been retrieved from the server.

channel ch00 disabled, job failed on it will be run on another channel

channel ch01: starting compressed archived log backup set

channel ch01: specifying archived log(s) in backup set

input archived log thread=1 sequence=1237 RECID=17588 STAMP=1146918129

channel ch01: starting piece 1 at 07-SEP-23

this is a database cluster.

we tried on the cluster IP, or an IP dedicated to the backup on the master node, both gives the same job error (failed trying to exec a command).

A status code 29 is usually seen when Netbackup cannot start a process or it return a status code other than 0.

Pls check that port 1556 is open from master and media server to client AND from client to master server. Use the NBU tool bptestbpcd to check for connectivity.
