hi gurus,

 

we are trying to restore files from client. this round is to restore to different client destination.

however, we are getting this error:

client bknb-xx peername bknb-xx.xx.corp is invalid for restore request

From activity monitor, is it showing error 37.

please advise.

No - altnames files must be created on the master server.

Only the master server can authorize redirected restore from clients.

How - from client or master server ?

If from client - have you created altname permissions on the master server ?

i am restoring from client.

destination is to another client.

i created altname in both client. << is this correct? or must do in the master?

Restores between *nix clients is perfectly supported.
