You can define extended attributes that provide additional information about Veritas Operations Manager objects. This information is available in addition to the details that Veritas Operations Manager discovers for the object. You can use the Management Server console to define multiple extended attributes for an object.
In Veritas Operations Manager 6.0, the objects and tasks are grouped under various perspectives depending on the role of the user and the nature of the task to be performed. The following table lists the object types that support extended attributes and the perspective to which these objects belong to:
Objects | Perspective |
Host, disk, disk group, volume, snapshot, exchange server, database | Server |
Cluster, service group | Availability |
Enclosure, switch, fabric, fabric zone | Storage |
Virtualization server, virtual machine | Virtualization |
