Error EC8F17B7 (UMI:V-281-3215-6071)
Hi, we are starting to use the new licenses and at least on one PC we still have the same error with the same modalities with the new product reinstalled with version 23. The PC has a Windows 11 Pro os.
The errors are still the same:
(UMI:V-281-3215-6071)
0xEBAB0005 (Veritas System Recovery)
High Priority Error: Error EC8F17B7: Cannot create recovery points for job: PC
By completely reinstalling and reconfiguring the product, the first backup is performed correctly, but the subsequent ones always fail with the same error

Can you please post the full error message, there should be some more information.
Did you also try to run fixinstall.bat after the error occured?

No there's only this message in the log before the error:
27/02/2023 20:00:11 6C8F1F65: The drive-based backup job, Backup_RDX, has been started automatically. 0x00 (Veritas System Recovery)
We have already tried to use fixinstall.bat and we have not resolved either on this system or on others that have been gradually added for some weeks with the same problem.

Ok stange because normally there are some more lines of text after
"0xEBAB0005 (Veritas System Recovery)
High Priority Error: Error EC8F17B7: Cannot create recovery points for job: PC"
Usually there ist addiontal information that details on the error.

The only lines are these, I also checked on other PCs with the same situation. We are seriously considering switching products, we are very embarrassed with our customers who cannot perform backups and we are trying very hard to fix the situation as we have distributed the software to several customers, fortunately many of these have a monitoring that informs us but we do not know how much the situation is getting out of hand and what will happen when a customer cannot recover his data.

Ok, according to this logs the symtrack service is crashing. So this needs to be investigated by support. Are you eligible for a support case?

I really think that's the case
