Thanks, that is helpful. The Agent for Applications and Databases licence would be used for one (or both) DC running AD to get the GRT restore capability... if that license is installed is the Remote Agent for Windows license also needed on the same...

Endpoint Protection is installed as well, but I don't think that had anything to do with this issue...the description in task manager for each instance of LUGetUpdateExe.exe that was running all read 'Back Up Exec Live Update'. LUAll.exe was not run...

I didnt even know 12.5 would create .dr files during the backup (I know 2010 does). At any rate, I am manually running the IDR Prep Wizard to create the .dr files, and selecting the A (or B) drive path to save them.

The screenshot was from when I was trying a second external floppy drive, which the system assigned "B" to since there is an internal drive assigned A. I'm thinking of just saving the dr files to a network drive on another server to avoid these issu...
