If you follow our official social handles, you might have noticed that we are going to host an Ask Me Anything (AMA) on Reddit for Backup Exec.

We will be hosting couple of sessions to make sure that all time zones are accommodated. We will be in the r/IAmA channel on:

  1. July 16th, from 9 AM to 11 AM Pacific Time (PT) [Add to calendar]
  2. July 17th, from 9 AM to 11 AM Singapore Time/11 AM - 1 PM Sydney Time [Add to calendar]

Yes, that’s a whopping 4 hours and we are eagerly looking forward to responding to all your questions! Please join us at r/IAmA subreddit as the team engages live to answer any questions you may have.

Why are we doing an AMA?

We like connecting with and learning directly from our users and the community. We want to understand how you use Backup Exec and how your experience has been. The new version, Backup Exec 21, shipped just over a month ago and we are also curious to hear your thoughts. Your questions and feedback will provide insights into how we can make Backup Exec better.

How can you participate?

You need to sign in to Reddit and submit your question in the comment section of our AMA thread, on the day of the AMA, and our team will answer your question in a live feed.

Do I need a reddit account to participate?

To join the AMA you’ll need to create a Reddit account. To do so, visit reddit.com and click “register” on the top right. Follow the steps to choose a username and password. Reddit does not require an e-mail address to set up an account.

How do I post a question?

To submit a question, first make sure you’re logged in to your reddit account. Once logged in, submit your questions by clicking the black and red text in the box above all posted questions. Click “save” to submit each question.

Who is joining?

We have team members from around the world participating remotely to answer, so bring your burning product questions... we’ll have the people to address them who will do their best to address all the legit questions and feedback. We've seen some great questions and feedback presented in the past on Reddit and the team has taken the community inputs very seriously.

For me, I’m quite excited as this is my first time doing anything on Reddit, but I have read our previous AMAs and these can be quite awesome.

We're looking forward to a great event! Thank you for reading, and we hope to see you there!
