The latest release of Veritas NetBackup IT Analytics 11.3 became generally available on December 4th, delivering powerful new ransomware and security improvements alongside simplification and supportability capabilities. These features continue to empower customers by improving the ease of use and the vast utility of insights available across their hybrid multi-cloud infrastructure.
Ransomware and Security
Ransomware Scorecard report customization enhancements – Users can now leverage REST APIs to easily ingest data into their database and integrate additional analytics (data items) into their scorecard interface.
New Ransomware Scorecard analytics – Introduction of new analytics accessible by default in the Ransomware Scorecard interface, including malware and anomaly alerting.
Multi-authentication support – IT Analytics will support multiple authentication mechanisms (Local, SSO, and LDAP) providing broad accessibility and heightened security on a single setup.
Strengthened default security – 100 + updates for vulnerable and end-of-life third-party components, OpenSAML upgraded to 4.0.1, and Tomcat to 9.0.76 version.
Simplify and Supportability
Split architecture installations – Customers can maintain a split architecture with Oracle installed on a different server, separate from the IT Analytics web portal server, with the portal machine communicating via Oracle client rpms.
Custom path installations – Ability to install the IT Analytics web portal software in a specified directory.
Improved file analysis – Provides the ability to filter file-level data, to produce reports based on desired criteria including specific server or share.
