I have been discussing the new features in NetBackup 8.1.2 starting with how it enables self-service for a variety of authorized users, and how its agentless architecture for VMware allows instant access to data. Today, in the third part of the blog series, I will be discussing how NetBackup enables enterprise data protection for cloud-based workloads.

Cloud is top of mind for all enterprises. So is cloud data protection. Whether protecting workloads within the cloud, backing up, recovering from the cloud, or connections back to on-premise, NetBackup seamlessly unifies data protection across the hybrid cloud. NetBackup and CloudPoint integration enables management and orchestration of snapshots for cloud workloads on Amazon Web Services (AWS), Microsoft Azure, and Google Cloud through a single pane of glass.

This integration ensures breakneck backup performance without lengthy snapshot windows and application time-outs, enabling you to optimize both the RPO and RTO for even your most critical and highly transactional applications.

Watch the video to see how with NetBackup with its integrated snapshot management accelerates backups, simplifies scaling, and ensures data is recoverable quickly where they need it.

Check back for next week's blog post, where I will be discussing how NetBackup Parallel Streaming with its modern agentless architecture protects Big Data, NoSQL, Open Source RDBMS, and commercial workloads.
