With the latest release of NetBackup 8.1.2, we have a companion release of NetBackup Appliance Software 3.1.2 that offers three new capabilities and features
- Enhancements to Appliance Management Server (AMS)
- Two New Virtual Appliances
- NetBackup Instant Access
Many customers own multiple Veritas Appliances. Centralized management of all the appliance is critical, and made possible with the with Appliance Management Server. Two new capabilities have been added to AMS in the 3.1.2 release; performance monitoring and Appliance Overview
NetBackup Instant Access is an enhancement that allows recovery in a VMware environment directly from storage in a NetBackup appliance. Finally, we have added a NetBackup CloudCatalyst Virtual appliance and a Master Server Virtual appliance.
