BackupExec: Which supported HBA for LTO 6 Tapedrive

    You are correct, Veritas does not list SAS or SCSI HBAs on the HCL since there are so many of them that work fine.

    The link from Tandberg shows that this HBA works with tape, so you should be all set.

Using Google to search for "SAS9200-8e" I find https://docs.broadcom.com/docs/12353324.  This document does not state that the HBA supports RAID.  As long as an HBA isn't a RAID HBA, it is supported by Backup Exec.  Do you have a link to a doc from Tandberg that says this HBA supports tape?

I think you will be fine.
