Step By Step How To CREATE Reports IN Ops Center (without License)(Came With Netbackup 7.5 for Free)

Hi

 

Most of the customer bosses wants to have daily or weekly reports of Netbackup, so its very easy , without purchasing the Reporting software or license we can generate it.

I will tell you step by step that How We can Make Reports In Ops Center( which came free with NetBackup and No Need for its license also)

 

 

1. Log in to Web GUI of Ops Center entering default admin and password

2. Go to My Reports and select Use an existing report template

3.Select Tabular Backup Report Template

4.Select Time Frame and Master Media Client Properties

5.Select Display Unit (GB or MB) And ADD or Remove the columns you need

6. Give the Report name

When the report is ready go To schedule and give the time and email addresses and add the report in that schedule

Your Boss and Team Lead will get the Daily or weekly report .

 

Thats so simple

Try it and update your boss with Daily Netbackup Reports

    Many users having problem after making report in configuring the email and SMTP Server, so for thier help i am attaching Symantec Tech Note for it.

    How to configure Symantec OpsCenter to send email.


    Solution



    To configure OpsCenter for sending email complete the following steps:

    1.)  Log onto the OpsCenter web console.


    2.)  Browse to Settings - Configuration - SMTP Server
    See Image 1 below.


    3.)  Enter SMTP (Simple Mail Transfer Protocol) information
     a.)  Configure the following required fields:
       SMTP Server Name:  This is the name of the SMTP host.
       SMTP Server Port:  This is the SMTP port number. 
       Sender Email Address:  This is the name that is associated with the email ID.
     b.)  Optionally configure the following fields:
       Sender Display Name:  This is the email address used for any replies to alerts or reports.
       Server User Name:  This is the user name to be used for SMTP servers that require credentials to send email.
       Server User Password:  This is the password to be used for SMTP servers that require credentials to send email.
     c.)  Click the Save button to save the settings.  

     
    4.)  Optionally configure SMTP recipients.
    Note:  It is not required to add email recipients to be able to send emails and alerts.  The addresses can be manually added in the reports and alert policies.  

     a.)  Browse to Settings - Recipients - Email.
     b.)  Click the Add button to add new email recipients.  
     c.)  Enter the Email Recipient Name.
     d.)  Enter the Email Address.
     e.)  Optionally enter a Description and delivery limit information.
     f.)  Click the Save button to save the settings.

     
    Note:  OpsCenter does not require an email program, such as blat, to send email.

    Hi

    I have configured the email in sym opscenter.I asked whether we can schedule the report. I have found the same also.

    Then Schedule

    Then Report Schedule( configure yourself as u want)

    then Time Schedule ( configure yourself as u want)

    Hi

    After creating a report if we want to delete it. then how we can delete that report can ?
