Use mirrored root disk to install new server?

Hello,

I need to create a new Netbackup media server and i would like to make it identical to one of our systems. Can i on that linux system break the mirror, remove the up-till-now mirrored rootdg disk and install it to the new system? If so, would i use vxdiskadm options 4 and 5? What about the VTOC, what about encapsulation (as far as disk re-initialization) and what about the VxVM license (i can apply a new license but will it boot)?
