Hi team I have a oracle rman backup failling with the next message: Completed status: Failed Final error: 0xe0001405 - Unknown CORBA exception. Unable to contact the Backup Exec server. Confirm that the Backup Exec Job Engine service is running on the Backup Exec server. Final error category: Resource Errors For additional information regarding this error refer to link V-79-57344-5125 I search a solution on the veritas support portal and I find the next TN: https://www.veritas.com/support/en_US/article.100024509 This TN dont apply because I only have the BE agent on the client server. https://www.veritas.com/support/en_US/article.100043481 This TN I think that dont apply because the error message is always the same. https://www.veritas.com/support/en_US/article.100030379 I think that also this TN dont apply because the SGMON logs dont show the message: "[6284] CorbaClt: System exception [6284] CorbaClt: Warning: corba client is unable to connect to corba server at port number 5633 : Please confirm following [6284] 1) Corba server is running in media server to accept client requests (check bengine log on media server) [6284] 2) Media server machine configuration - Tools->Options->Network and Security->Custom port number - matches with vxmon machine configuration [6284] 3) Media server machine can be pinged from this agent machine [6284] if it can not be pinged, add entry of media server in etc/hosts file." Anyone can help me please? I dont have support active because I have BE15 :s Thanks in advanced. Regards Toño1.3KViews0likes2CommentsBE15 Not using all the Tapes to back up
Hi, We have two LTO6 tape drives (4 tapes in total 6-1 to 6-4). We run a full backup to disk, then a dup to tape. On the days when i do a full backup, I inventory the tapes then erase them so they are empty. I have set up the jobs to use one storage pool and the LTO6 drives to use as the backup needs to (not allocated to a drive as such). Came in this morning and 6-1 tape was out of the drive and BE requesting insert new tape. The 6-1 tape was full but the drive 6-2 had2.01TB (out of 2.27TB), but 6-3 and 6-4 had hardly been touched? Whey would BE not use the other available tapes? Have made sure the drives are available in device manager etc. Thanks in advance.1.4KViews0likes5CommentsTape Drives - (no Media)
When the be15 services start my tape drives show a tape inside of them (see pic 1) Then a few mins later all of the drives go to status (No Media) from there any backups to tape just queue forever. Any backups to disk flow through just fine and complete. I have rebooted and resyned the server and drives. i have done my updates to BE. Rescanned the Drives, Inventory Slots, cleaned the drives. The Actual Robotic library doesnt show any issues on Drive 2-4. Errros in the ADAMM.log show the following when i attempted to do a backup and it was queued. 14200] 10/26/18 14:55:00.326 PvlDevice::DriveUtilThreadProc() - unable to determine media dismount slot. Hello Masters, We are trying to add new license we have recently purchased. We are following License installation wizard and have added all SLF files we have. But before It actually registered the licenses, BE asked to browse the Browser.exe file. So we downloaded the BE full version but neither we, nor BE wizard can locate the Browser.exe file anywhere in the download, which is stopping us to add/register the license. Can someone please help or guide us if we are doing anything wrong or missing something in this process of adding licenses?1.5KViews0likes2CommentsHP StorageWorks 1/8 G2 Tape Autoloader cannot configure on BE15
Hi, I had a issue with my HP 1/8 Autoloader going offiline and i followed many troubleshooting steps on the Veritas forums which did'nt help. I can view the autoloader on HPL&TT but won;t come online on BE15. I did a LIVE UPDATE and no luck. I deleted the HP 1/8 Autoloader from BE15 and trying to configure storage on again but it won't show an option to add tape drives. Just gives an option to "Run the hot swappable device wizard". The Autoloader is connected with HP 241 HBA and worked fine previously.1.3KViews0likes2CommentsCan you backup the Settings within BE15
I am currently running BE15 on MS server 2012 R2 and with little experience would like to ask is there a way to backup all of the settings and jobs within the Job Monitor, just in case I loose BE15 due to a crash/hard drive failure. Thanks in advance for your time.836Views0likes2CommentsBE15 backup DFSR performance very low
