Now that Symantec has announced that Backup Exec.cloud has only one year left to live, I was wondering what the residents of this forum plan to do to replace it? Starting in January I plan to search for a similar type of product - one that can back-up locally, as well as to the cloud. If anyone has any suggestions as to the appropriate product and hardware, I'd appreciate knowing about it. Thanks! LarrySolved2.6KViews0likes6CommentsPerformance problems on Backup Exec.cloud
Hello, I've less than 10 desktop/servers backed up with backup exec.cloud. Principally for office data (.doc, .pdf ...). We use this service since march 2013 and in the first times it worked really great. But since late october, the service backup exec.cloud is really, really slow. The backups takes hours for low volume of data ...(when it works). I send emails to the support team of backup exec.cloud > No response. I tried to call them > The phone does not ring... And I'm blocked on this situation since 15 days. Can someone give me information about what's going on with this service ? Connectivity problems on Symantec datacenter ? And is there still a support for backup exec.cloud ? Thanks for your help. yoann_rt PS : I'm French so sorry if my english is approximative.614Views0likes0CommentsVery Disapointed
I have installed Backup Exec.Cloud on 3 computers so far I think the product needs lots of help, Mainly the rate at witch data is transferred. All 3 clients had good bandwidth (at least 5MBS up and 20 down) The uploads are taking way to long. This morning i installed a client and selected a folder with about 200 meg in it and 9 hours later it is 20% complete, The other 2 clients are just as slow. This product IS NOT ready for primetime.Solved1.7KViews0likes5CommentsBackup Exec.cloud Extremely Slow

How can I change retention period for backed up files? Or the whole storage? I'm backing up database dump and it's created again every night. There is no point to save files older than 2 weeks as this is 2nd level backup (if everything else fails or burns). Now storage gets filled over and over again with same files.Solved1.3KViews0likes3Comments
