Query regarding stopping of vcs
Hi Team, Could you please suggest on this, To stop the vcs and leaves the application running we use, hastop -all -force and then start the vcs with hastart. But, under which condition do we have to use this command "hastop -all -force." when this operation will require to keep the application running and do VCS stop and start. When this is required to use" hastop -local " OR hastop -all to stop the VCS and application. Please explain. Thanks Allaboutunix

Query regarding one vcs node down
Hi Team, Please suggest, if I have 4 nodes and due to some network issue suddenly all 4 nodes down. 3 nodes came up but 1 node is not coming up. So what would happen to vcs services.Does that run automatically or need to run it manually. Please share the step by step activity. Thanks. Allaboutunix

Service group shows online and cluster service offline
Hi TEam, I have an output of the hastatus which is attached, It shows ClusterService online in 35th system and rest of the system shows Clusterservice Offline however, Service group POWERCENTERSERVICEMANAGER shows online in all systems 35,36,37,38,39,40. I am unable to get it why the Service groupshows online in all the other systems when only 35th system ClusterService is online and rest others are offline. Do that the scenario of Active-Active Cluster? Please help me to understand this scenario.

Infoscale 7 for linux 7.1 is not confiured
Hi, i am trying to install and configure infoscale 7 on RHEL 7.1 on two physical servers. the product is installed on both nodes , but when trying to cinfigure to fencing mode, i faced an error ,Volume Manger is not runnig, when tried to start VxVm module, it will not start and i got:VxVM vxdisk ERROR V-5-1-684 IPC failure: Configuration daemon is not accessible knowing that on virtual machine, the configuration is working fine. anyone has any idea

Change the Host IP address in the Veritas cluster
Hello All, We have a Veritas cluster server setup (VCS-HA,VCS-CFS & VERITAS-RAC) where on few setup we required to change the data IP address of some host(node). I refer few notes but not sure except /etc/hosts is there any file need to update/edit. Please help me if you have any process/technote to make those change & make that changed IP persistant. Also would like to know the impact of this activity. The systems are Linux 6.5 & 6.6 & cluster versions are VCS 6.2 & 6.1.

Resource faults issue
Hi Team, Many times we face resource faults alerts on our AIX server,but when we check it shows all are running fine. Also, when checked logs it shows not (initiated by VCS) alerts. Our main concern is to troubleshoot, why we get these alerts and if we get these alerts then why cluster resource is not showing faulty. Listener failed
Team, During a database activity, we did not freeze the cluster due to some reason,the listener went down due to the activity however database team has confirmed that DB is up and online. Initially, when i tried to check the faulted resource it was not showing.But, when I tried to clear and online the listener resource, it went to Waiting_to_online and then it failed.
