Netbackup Authentifizierung gegen AD oder LDAP?
Hallo.

HI All, I am trying to recover the Production Netbackup catalog in to the Test Master server. I have copied the catalog backup (disk stu) from production master to the Test Master server (without DRFILE). I have completed the phase1 and phase 2 import successfully. But when running the bprecover -wizard, it is ending with the following error. Please give me a solution on how to proceed further to complete the catalog recovery. Note: I have created /netbackup mount point and recovering to that location, also the solution for earlier thread(https://www-secure.symantec.com/connect/forums/catalog-recovery-falied#comment-6076981_ doesn't solve my issue, please help. 23:49:21 (8.001) INF - TAR EXITING WITH STATUS = 0 23:49:21 (8.001) INF - TAR RESTORED 361 OF 361 FILES SUCCESSFULLY 23:49:21 (8.001) INF - TAR KEPT 0 EXISTING FILES 23:49:21 (8.001) INF - TAR PARTIALLY RESTORED 0 FILES 23:49:44 INF - Database restore started ERR - Failed to recover NBDB on testnbmaster2 (5) Beginning recovery of NBDB. I am trying to move my current Netbackup 6.5.4 catalog over to a new server running Netbackup 6.5.4. I am getting a clean catalog backup on the old server however when I try to import the image to the new server I am getting the following error: Error bptm(pid=7064) block read is not a NetBackup or Backup Exec media header, len = 2048, media id 4707L4, drive index 0, data is NetBackup database backup 5/30/2012 3:32:39 PM - Error bpimport(pid=6568) Status = cannot read media header, may not be NetBackup media or is corrupted. 5/30/2012 3:32:39 PM - end Import; elapsed time: 00:00:51 cannot read media header, may not be NetBackup media or is corrupted(172) I am sure the media is not corrupted and I have inventoried the robot on the new server however am still getting this error. I have already read through the below thread with no luck: http://www.symantec.com/business/support/index?page=content&id=TECH58631 The old server is running Windows 2003 32bit and the new server is running WIndows 2008 R2 64bit. Any and all advice would be greatly appreciated.927Views0likes3CommentsWhich drive(s) utilize particular media?
Hi I'm wondering if there was an easy way to extract information from NetBackup about a media (that went bad). I was hoping that there was a "bp" or "nb" command to list the tape drives used for a particular media/tape or backup image (eg. su20386_1307192442). Our Activity monitor goes back 7 days only. So, can you send me a command / script to run from my AIX NBU environment to see this information. I believe one of the drives in out library is causing lots and lots of problems. Hello, I can browse /usr/openv/netbackup/db/images/ folder to view any completed backup by any client. Where does NBU write the details of an ACTIVE backup? I want to know what files are getting written to tape as the backup progresses because I have one backup that is using tapes but the Admin GUI does not show what file it is working on. It seems to be either broken or is backing up one HUGE file that is taking a long time to write to tape. I do not have access to the windows client running the backup. There are many NetBackup 6.5.4 files have world-writeable permission in Solaris. Is there any easy fix to make all NetBackup files without any world-writeabel permission.Solved1.6KViews0likes3Comments
