Universal Restore
Hello all, This is my first post ever to a forum and I believe it's a bit of a problem. I work for a small IT Support firm. We have a customer that has a few C&C machines that run from the blueprints and software off ofWindow 7 machines. We were notified bymanufacture of the machines there is a voltage flux in the machines that are prone to destorying the PCs connected to the machine. Our customer would like us to take an image of the computersand be able to reinstall the images taken on new hardware, computers that have different hardware configurations, all without losing any information, programs andcomputer OS. I'm looking for ideas on how this can be done. I've read it can be done, just not sure how to approach the problem, so I'm looking for some ideas. Any help would be greatly appreciated.Solved3.4KViews0likes1CommentHow to remove the pair from a Job: causing SRT304E Client interface initialization failed

Hello, Does anyone know why a newly created job in RE3.1 remains greyed out, and is not being run? The job is enabled for a scheduled start, and is set up correctly. Pairs are running, logfiles indicate the service is running fine on both sides, the database is accessible. I could not find any related information. Thanks for the help. I would like to keep it a stand lone system. But unsure what products would be the best. Again these are ext. 2TB esata drives. I would like them to allbe writing all the same time. The master would also be the same 2TB ext. drive. Could youprovide me with hardware and software to complete this task? Could you also give me an estimate on the time it would take to create these 10, 2TB drives. Thank you so much.1.8KViews0likes0CommentsRecreating a replication pair - will previous target data be recognised?
Hi all, We lost one end (source)of a rep pair, now we have moved to a different server (diff name, diff IP BUT same data!) and reinstalled VRE (v3.1). The RMS sees the new server etc. My question is if Icreate a 'new' pair to do the same job the old one did (straight overnight replication of an NTFSdirectory over a WAN link - directory is 30Gb+ in size!), will it insist on an initial replication of the entire contents, given that source server name etc have changed? Obviously I'd prefer if it 'picked up where ther previous one left off' i.e. recognised that the file contents are there on the target and work the deltas etc. 30Gb will take a looonnnnggg time otherwise. Any advice appreciated. padraigd864Views0likes1CommentRecreating a replication pair - will previous target data be recognised?
